Made by HIRSCH
Hirsch
Our HIRSCH headquarter in Klagenfurt (Austria) has always been regarded as the "source of bracelet art": this is the central point where all the "threads come together". All developments relating to the bracelet - from the idea to the finished product - take place here.
UP TO 60 STEPS
The production of a HIRSCH watch strap is a labor-intensive process that is still largely done by hand and involves up to 60 steps.
The vast majority of our straps are manufactured using the Rembordier technique, developed by company founder Hans Hirsch and patented in 1955. This process later became a standard within the watch strap industry, one that remains valid to this day.
Rembordiered straps generally consist of three components:
- the outer leather – the side facing outward
- the padding – the inner core of the strap, and
- the lining leather, which is in direct contact with the skin.
To join these three parts seamlessly and ensure long-lasting durability, the “Rembordier method” is used.
This manufacturing method offers advantages such as:
- sealed side edges,
- an invisible transition between the outer and lining leather,
- optimal protection against the penetration of various substances—such as water, sweat, perfume, sunscreen, or solvents—to which the bracelet is exposed during daily use.
In contrast, our range also includes retro-style leather bracelets, which are made from a single piece of leather and, in some cases, feature raw-edge finishes.
The range is complemented by our bracelets from the HIRSCH Performance Collection and bracelets made from HIRSCH Premium Caoutchouc.
QUALITY AND INNOVATION
With a product that comes into direct contact with the skin and is worn as frequently as a watch strap, it is important to be able to rely on its quality and to be assured that it will keep the watch securely on the wrist.
The durability of a watch strap is significantly influenced by its intended use and the wearer’s habits. For this reason, it is important that the straps are highly durable.
With HIRSCH bracelets, you can be sure that even the extreme combination of heat, moisture, and sweat will not affect their functionality.
Even after contact with water—such as when washing your hands—all our bracelets dry significantly faster than conventional brands.
The HIRSCH product range also includes models that are water-resistant (these models can be worn in water without losing their color, shape, suppleness, or aesthetic appeal) or even completely waterproof (straps that are fully water-repellent and do not absorb water).
Dress up your watch
A bracelet may initially seem small and unnoticeable. However, once it has received its rightful place as an accessory, it can develop its full character.
The choice of a suitable bracelet is of course entirely yours, as we believe you should wear whatever appeals to you. At the same time, however, our knowledge of trends, customer focus and expertise put us in a good position to offer you a contemporary and modern selection of these accessories. Our bracelets are more than watch straps. They “clothe” your watch, adding shape and colour to it. This makes each bracelet an effective stylistic tool that you can use to great effect to suit your mood, your outfit or a specific fashion.
True to our motto, “Dress up your watch”, we want to encourage you to develop your own creativity and express your personal style and taste.
